Scrapbook (1898-1930), correspondence (1899, 1915-1930, 1944), telegrams (1929-1930), newspaper clippings (1898-1899, 1939-1941), maps, certificates (1927), and printed matter related to the military career of a Minneapolis man who graduated from West Point Military Academy (1880); was a military instructor at the University of Minnesota; graduated from the University of Minnesota law school (1894); participated in the campaign against the Apache Indians (1882), the Spanish-American War (1898), and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902); and was responsible for the arrest of former Mexican president Victoriano Huerta for conspiracy to overthrow the Mexican government (1915).
